Job Description
The Forensic and Investigative Sciences (FIS) program at Indiana University Indianapolis is looking for a part-time administrative assistant to provide program support, handle clerical and organizational tasks, and ensure smooth daily operations.
Responsibilities include:
Administrative support to the director-arrange meetings, calendar, filing, communications, data management, etc.
Scheduling all FIS courses; working with the registrar, other departments, and School of Science Senior Operational Leader for Academic and Student Affairs.
Main contact for all FIS communication; email, phone, admissions, recruiting, etc.
Arrange and manage campus visits/recruitment activities.
Manage FIS events; BoV meetings, capstone poster session, internship session, program meetings, etc.
Purchasing; office, teaching, and laboratories supplies, FEPAC dues.
Arrange FIS travel
Other duties as assigned
Education
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

Strong verbal communication and listening skills
Effective interpersonal skills
Maintains a high degree of professionalism
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information.
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without accommodation.
Starting salary: $15/hour
