Building Conservation Associates, Inc. (BCA) seeks an Architectural Conservator for an ongoing multi-year municipal restoration project in Manhattan requiring daily construction and quality oversight. The project involves the restoration of masonry vaults. The successful candidate will report daily to the Director of Technical Services of BCA. Job Qualifications: The candidate must have graduate-level technical training in historic preservation (M.S. in Historic Preservation preferred) and five years construction-related experience; proficiency in interpreting and reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, and Contractor submittals; and excellent writing and communication skills. Candidates should emphasize any formal or practical training in architecture, materials conservation, drafting, forensic analysis, quality control, and/or governmental agency experience. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work productively with minimal supervision.
