About the Opportunity

A growing commercial roofing contractor based in Pompano Beach, FL is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee daily field operations across multiple commercial roofing projects. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving project performance, safety, workforce management, and quality assurance. The Construction Manager will serve as the on-site liaison between clients, crews, subcontractors, and internal project managers to ensure timely, budget-conscious, and code-compliant project delivery.

Youll lead job site activities from pre-construction through project closeout while managing roofing crews and enforcing safety and quality protocols. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on leader with a background in TPO, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, and Built-Up Roofing systems.

What Youll Do

• Lead all day-to-day field operations across commercial roofing projects (installations, repairs, replacements)
• Ensure projects meet all budget, timeline, and specification targets
• Supervise roofing crews and subcontractors; enforce OSHA safety regulations and company safety standards
• Manage jobsite logistics: materials delivery, labor scheduling, equipment readiness
• Conduct daily team meetings, safety briefings, and on-site inspections
• Resolve client issues and collaborate with project managers to overcome scope/design challenges
• Track project progress and maintain daily job logs, documentation, and inspection records
• Maintain communication with general contractors, engineers, architects, and vendors
• Enforce quality assurance standards; document all discrepancies and corrective actions
• Coordinate workforce training on tool usage, roofing systems, and safety procedures

Who You Are

• 5+ years of experience in commercial roofing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Strong hands-on knowledge of commercial roofing systems: TPO, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, BUR
• Proven team leader with experience managing crews and subcontractors on active job sites
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and a demonstrated ability to enforce jobsite compliance
• Skilled in reading blueprints, specs, and construction drawings
• Excellent communicator and on-site problem solver
• Comfortable using project management tools, daily reporting software, and mobile construction tech

Required Certifications

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification
• First Aid/CPR (preferred)
• Roofing system certifications (TPO, EPDM, etc.) are a strong plus

Work Environment

• Outdoor commercial construction job sites
• Work at heights and in varying weather conditions
• Frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending
• Must be comfortable working on roofs and with heavy materials
• Travel: Occasional (local/regional project sites)
• Reports to: Project Manager
