Job Title: Senior Controls Engineer - Delta V(Mandatory)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Controls Engineer to lead automation solutions for industrial systems, focusing on PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA platforms. This role will require direct customer interaction, team leadership, and a proven ability to deliver technical solutions, as well as manage the execution and profitability of large-scale automation projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in control systems, project management, and business development, securing repeat work with both new and existing customers.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Automation System Design & Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of innovative automation solutions, including the development of control system architecture, component selection, schematic diagrams, and system documentation.
  • Programming & Development: Write control programs (PLC, DCS, RTU), develop HMI/SCADA systems, and design databases for historical data storage and visualization. Knowledge of programming languages such as Ladder, Structured Text, Sequential Function Chart, VBA, .NET, SQL, and others is required.
  • Networking & Industrial Protocols: Design and implement industrial networking systems connecting control components, including fiber, wired, and wireless systems using protocols like Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, etc.
  • Project Management: Oversee the development of project execution plans, budgets, task scheduling, prioritization, time tracking, and financial reporting. Identify and resolve problems early, manage conflicts, and ensure overall project profitability (up to $1M).
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Act as a technical lead, guiding lower-level engineers and technicians while providing mentorship and career development opportunities. Manage smaller projects as the Project Manager when needed.
  • Customer Interaction: Work directly with customers to understand requirements, develop specifications, and ensure solutions meet their needs. Foster partnerships to secure repeat business.
  • Technical Standards & Best Practices: Establish design standards for graphics, alarming, and scaling in HMI/SCADA systems and provide leadership on process improvements and automation efficiency.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of Controls Engineering experience, with expertise in:
  • PLC, DCS, HMI, SCADA platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, Modicon, ICONICS, Wonderware, GE, etc.)
  • Industrial networking and protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profinet, etc.)
  • Developing work processes for automating template development
  • Web-based data integration for monitoring and troubleshooting
  • SQL, .NET, Power BI, Grafana, and APIs
  • Designing electrical schematics and control panels
  • Leading teams to provide control system solutions
  • Experience in industries such as Semiconductor, Life Sciences, Building Automation, Food & Beverage, Oil & Gas, Mining, etc.
  • Professional references (subordinate, peer, manager)

Preferred Experience:

  • Rockwell and Cimplicity experience.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and electrical schematics for power distribution and NEC compliance.
  • Knowledge of DCS platforms like Emerson DeltaV.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to see, perceive colors, hear, speak clearly, and have manual dexterity.
  • Ability to lift, mount/dismount equipment, and push/pull as needed.
  • Frequent travel between office and client sites.

Working Environment:

  • Standard office environment and on-site industrial environments.
  • Frequent use of computers, phones, and other office equipment.
  • Diverse industrial settings, including field device/equipment troubleshooting.
