Lead Our Fleet, Drive Our Success: Diesel Technician Foreman

Are you a Master Diesel Technician with a knack for leadership and at least 5 years of experience in the Heavy Class 8 Mechanical Industry (or a similar field)? As a Diesel Technician Foreman , you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, overseeing preventative maintenance, general repairs, and leading a dedicated team of technicians. What You'll Do as a Leader:

• Oversee and optimize day-to-day operations for your assigned technician team, ensuring efficiency and quality.

• Mentor and develop your team , providing clear expectations, performance feedback, and fostering a collaborative environment.

• Manage all third-party vendor invoices for repairs, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Maintain organized and efficient parts rooms in accordance with Centralized Parts Team guidelines.

• Ensure accurate and legal record-keeping for ELD and fleet programs.

• Utilize your diagnostic expertise (including engine diagnostic equipment) to perform comprehensive general, preventative maintenance, and DVIR for all heavy equipment.

• Employ your welding, torch, and plasma cutting skills to repair or fabricate parts as needed.

What You'll Bring:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in the Heavy Class 8 Mechanical Industry or a closely related field.

• Proven leadership abilities with a passion for guiding and developing a team.

• A valid Driver's License.

• The commitment to obtain at least two ASE Certifications within your first 6 months of employment (process sponsored by Carvana!).

• Your own set of essential tools to tackle daily tasks; Carvana will provide specialty tools.

• The physical stamina required for standing extended periods, frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and/or pulling in various environmental conditions (cold, hot, noisy, wet, fumes/odors).

• Ability to lift and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet .

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction in a professional and courteous manner.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize efficiently.

• Clear and concise written and oral communication skills.
