About this job:
Under the leadership of the Manager, the Apprentice will lead the student-led Chat program which is designed to connect the district (DPS) students to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) professionals locally and nationally through engaging career and life conversations. Leverages social media platforms and culturally inclusive forums with the goal to have meaningful experiences and expand exposure to high students. Coordinate exploration experiences with teachers and school leaders and will develop a social media presence for the Chat program.

What You'll Do:
- Demonstrate District (DPS) shared core values. Respond appropriately to feedback and coaching. - 10%

- Contribute to meaningful conversations around equity and barriers to success for all students. - 10%
- Provide various supports and conducts activities related to logistics, reporting, training, communications, and processes. - 20%
- Facilitate Chat events - 25%
- Supports the training of new student facilitators -10%
- Recruits professionals to be Chat speakers -10%
- Works with school leaders and teachers and community partners to hold Chats -10%
What You'll Need: Student Worker/Intern no degree required
Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education.
Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
