Job Purpose

Join a dynamic multi-discipline team to introduce and implement cutting-edge equipment for new model introductions at Honda facilities. Utilize 3D CAD software and simulation tools to identify key changes and summarize specifications that meet design requirements. As a functional Project Leader, you will drive projects from inception to final design, focusing on improvements that align with our business strategy and regional goals.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop optimal machine concepts for process changes using sound engineering principles.
  • Provide technical support for equipment/process and assist in project leadership.
  • Collaborate with external functions, including suppliers and plant resources.
  • Act as a direct project leader for small to midsized business plan projects.
  • Conduct detailed process studies of new model car parts to assess machine capability.
  • Create specifications and scope of work documentation to summarize change points.
  • Provide online support during project installation to verify specifications.
  • Maintain a critical path schedule to ensure project milestones are met.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD systems and software.
  • Experience in automated equipment development.
  • Excellent technical communication skills, both written and oral.

Workstyle

  • 85% Office environment for documentation creation.
  • 15% Manufacturing floor for direct investigations and support.
  • Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and internationally as needed.
