About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to join its team in a co-leadership role with the Artistic Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing visionary leadership, ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the organization, and guiding all operational and administrative functions. This includes strategic planning, fundraising, marketing, and community engagement. The Executive Director will also be tasked with fostering a positive and inclusive organizational culture, championing diversity, equity, and inclusion, and managing the company's permanent home. The role requires a decisive and strategic visionary with a proven track record in fundraising, fiscal management, and strategic partnership-building, ideally in the arts or theater sector. Key responsibilities for the Executive Director at the company include external relations, acting as a visible community leader, and overseeing the development and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising plan. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, the ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, and a deep commitment to the values of the organization. They should be adept at leadership, teamwork, personal accountability, and goal orientation, and possess the ability to handle difficult situations with diplomacy and tact. While no specific educational credentials are required, the Executive Director should have a background that demonstrates their capacity to lead and manage in a dynamic and creative environment.
