Must live in Eastern Idaho (we are located in Rigby) or be willing to locate at own expense (sorry about that, but we are a new and growing firm, so relocation is not in our budget at this point).

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Licensed Architect to lead and support architectural design projects across Idaho. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction of buildings and structures, ensuring compliance with state regulations, safety standards, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop architectural designs and construction documents using CAD and BIM software.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, contractors, and local authorities throughout project phases.
• Conduct site visits and feasibility studies to assess project requirements and constraints.
• Ensure all designs comply with Idaho building codes, zoning laws, and ADA standards.
• Prepare and present design proposals, budgets, and timelines.
• Oversee project execution to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records for regulatory compliance.
• Participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and stay current with industry trends.

Qualifications

• Licensed Architect in the State of Idaho , in good standing with the Idaho Board of Architectural Examiners
• Completion of the Architect Registration Examination (ARE) through NCARB.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in architectural design and project management.
• Proficiency in ArchiCAD is preferred, but not required
• Strong knowledge of Idaho building codes and permitting processes.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• LEED accreditation or experience with sustainable design.
• Experience with Idaho-specific construction practices and materials.
• Familiarity with professional entities such as AIA Idaho.

Licensure & Continuing Education

• Must complete 8 hours of continuing education annually to maintain licensure [1].
• Licensure may be obtained via examination or endorsement if licensed in another state [1].
