Medical Transcriptionist - Texas Hip & Knee Center - Full-Time, Days Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: 6301 Harris Parkway, Suite 300, Fort Worth, TX 76132 Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm Travel: 25% to surrounding clinics as needed ( mileage reimbursement provided ) Texas Hip & Knee Center Highlights: Promotional Opportunities Bonuses No weekends Here's What You Need High School Diploma or equivalent (required) Associate's Degree (preferred) 1 year Transcription Experience (required) 3 years Transcription Experience (preferred) Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) or equivalent Work Experience Upon Hire (preferred) Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology. Demonstrated advanced typing skills. General office skills including proficient computer skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Possesses a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism. A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. What You Will Do Transcribes dictated reports accurately within established standards. Recognizes, interprets and evaluates inconsistencies, discrepancies and inaccuracies in medical text or dictation appropriately to clarify, flag, or report as needed. Translates medical jargon and abbreviations into their expanded form. Prioritizes dictated reports based on level of continuity of care needs. Edits for grammar and clarity, as necessary. Produces a variety of documents, including discharge summaries, history and physical examination reports, operative reports, consultation reports, autopsy reports, diagnostic imaging studies, progress notes and referral letters. Perform other duties as assigned.
