This position is ideal for experienced sales professionals with a passion for training and development to join the North America Sales Training & Development team as a Sales Training Manager (Orthodontic Channel) . In this role, you will design, develop, and deliver impactful training programs that accelerate the proficiency of Align Technology’s commercial sales teams. Partnering with Sales, Marketing, and Training Operations, you’ll lead initiatives that enhance product knowledge, selling skills, and digital workflow expertise. This role is critical in shaping the effectiveness of our field teams and driving adoption of the Align Digital Platform.

Role expectations
  • Design and lead a state-of-the-art training curriculum for the Align product portfolio, reducing speed to proficiency for commercial sales teams.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Training Operations team to develop blended learning solutions (virtual and instructor-led) for internal and external sales audiences.
  • Facilitate onboarding and ongoing training on Invisalign and iTero products tailored to role-specific proficiency requirements.
  • Partner with Marketing to ensure training content reflects current product offerings and market dynamics.
  • Develop and implement evaluation strategies to measure training effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Co-travel with commercial teams (Invisalign, iTero, Special Markets) to gain field insights and reinforce training relevance.
  • Analyze sales performance data to identify training needs and design targeted follow-up programs.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in sales training best practices within the digital orthodontic/dental industry.
  • Influence senior sales leadership and training stakeholders using adult learning principles and performance data.
What we're looking for
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in science or business preferred.
  • Experience : Minimum 6 years of recent sales experience; sales training experience preferred. Background in pharmaceutical or medical sales training is a plus.
  • Skills : Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills. Advanced PowerPoint proficiency.
  • Communication : Exceptional English oral and written communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
  • Teamwork : Demonstrated leadership, ability to influence without authority, and collaborate across functions.
  • Others
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% (including overnight travel in the US & Canada) 
  • Based in or able to work from the Raleigh office.
  • Legally entitled to work in the US.

Pay Transparency

If provided, base salary or wage rate ranges are the range in which Align reasonably expects to set a candidate’s pay for the posted position. Actual placement depends on the individual skills and experience level of a candidate plus the total compensation and equity across team members. For other locations outside of the primary location, the base salary range will be adjusted geographically. 

 

For Field Sales roles, the salary listed is the base pay only and does not include the applicable incentive compensation plan. A cost of living adjustment may be added to base pay for higher cost areas in the U.S. 

 

Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay determined based on the position and your location, year in school, degree, and experience.
