Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fire Alarm Consultant/Designer to join our team in Anaheim, CA. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, planning, and overseeing fire alarm systems for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, local codes, and customer requirements. This individual will bring technical expertise, leadership, and attention to detail to deliver high-quality fire protection solutions. Responsibilities Develop detailed fire alarm system designs. Utilize CAD, Revit, or other design software to produce accurate, code-compliant drawings and submittals. Ensure designs meet all applicable local, state, and national fire codes. Perform site surveys to inspect and evaluate building features and systems. Prepare technical reports, specifications, design drawings and presentations. Stay current on relevant changes to fire protection regulations and standards. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and AHJs to ensure seamless integration of fire alarm systems into overall building designs. Review designs for accuracy, compliance, and constructability before submission. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to meet project and business objectives. Assist our Business Development team in identifying, pursuing, and securing project opportunities. Manage technical project performance including project scheduling and resource management to meet our business objectives. Manage financial project performance by developing accurate project budgets while adhering to approved scopes of work. Qualifications 8+ years of experience designing fire alarm systems for an array of project types. NICET Level III or IV certification in Fire Alarm Systems is preferred. Professional Licensure in Electrical or Fire Protection Engineering is a plus. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools. Strong understanding of NFPA codes and local fire codes. Experience with mass notification systems or integrated life safety solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and project teams while meeting client deadlines.
