Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEO team lead with 3-5 years of SEO experience (eCommerce is a PLUS). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SEO strategies tailored for eCommerce platforms, experience with large-scale websites, and a proven track record of driving organic growth, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and maximizing conversions. The SEO team lead will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing SEO strategies to maximize organic search traffic, improve conversion rates, and enhance the online presence Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies tailored for eCommerce, focusing on maximizing organic traffic, improving search engine rankings, and enhancing user experience. Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content, marketing, and product development, to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into all digital efforts. On-Page and Technical SEO: Optimize website architecture, URLs, and navigation to enhance crawlability and indexability by search engines. Conduct keyword research and implement on-page optimization techniques, including meta tags, header tags, and content optimization. Identify and resolve technical SEO issues such as crawl errors, broken links, and duplicate content. Implement structured data markup (Schema.org) to improve SERP visibility and click-through rates. Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Analyze user behavior and identify opportunities to improve conversion rates on key eCommerce pages. Develop and execute A/B testing strategies to optimize landing pages, product pages, and checkout processes. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to improve website usability and enhance user experience. Implement and monitor CRO tools to gather insights and measure the effectiveness of optimization efforts. Develop and oversee content strategies that align with SEO goals, including blog posts, product descriptions, category pages, and landing pages. Work closely with content creators to ensure SEO best practices are followed and content is optimized for relevant keywords. Conduct content gap analysis and recommend new content opportunities to capture additional search traffic. Link Building and Off-Page SEO: Develop and execute effective link-building strategies to acquire high-quality backlinks from relevant and authoritative websites. Monitor backlink profiles and disavow toxic links to maintain a healthy link profile. Engage in digital PR and outreach activities to promote content and earn natural links. Analytics and Reporting: Use SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs) to track and analyze website performance, traffic trends, and rankings. Generate regular reports on SEO performance, highlighting key metrics, insights, and recommendations for improvement. Conduct A/B testing and experiments to optimize SEO strategies and improve ROI. Team Management and Collaboration: Lead and mentor a team of SEO specialists and analysts, providing guidance, training, and support. Foster a collaborative environment with other departments to align SEO efforts with overall business goals. Stay updated with industry trends, algorithm updates, and best practices to ensure the team remains at the forefront of SEO innovation. Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience in SEO, with a significant focus on eCommerce SEO. Proven track record of managing large-scale eCommerce websites and driving organic growth. In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices. Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, etc. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions. Excellent communication and project management skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Information Technology, or a related field. Preferred: Experience with eCommerce platforms such as Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce, or similar.
