Direct message the job poster from Charter & Co Job Summary: Charter & Co, in partnership with Forge Virtual Studios, is seeking a highly organized, solutions-driven Producer to lead the execution of high-end video projects from pre-production through final delivery. This role is critical to bringing complex creative visions to life through precise planning, logistical excellence, and confident on-set leadership. As a key member of our growing team, the Producer will collaborate closely with the Creative Director and President to ensure every project runs smoothly—on time, on budget, and on brand. The ideal candidate is equal parts strategist and executor, capable of managing fast-moving productions while maintaining Charter & Co’s standard of excellence. Experience in virtual production or technically complex shoots is a strong plus. Key Responsibilities: Own and manage the full pre-production process from kickoff to shoot day. Translate scripts, treatments, and client briefs into actionable production plans. Build accurate production budgets and quotes; track costs to ensure financial health of projects. Build and maintain production calendars, shot lists, call sheets, and schedules. Lead pre-pro meetings with internal teams, clients, and contractors to align logistics and creative. Partner closely with the Creative Director to ensure production plans align with the creative vision and practical constraints. Secure and coordinate crew, talent, vendors, gear, permits, insurance, travel, and locations. Build comprehensive gear lists and oversee gear prep and logistics. Coordinate with virtual production teams when applicable, including studio technicians, LED volume teams, and Unreal artists. Production Execution Serve as the on-set lead, overseeing day-of logistics, managing crew, and ensuring adherence to the production plan. Ensure execution of the creative vision as defined by the Creative Director, while managing real-time logistics and troubleshooting. Manage talent, crew, and client interactions on set, maintaining professionalism and clear communication. Oversee gear handling (load-in, load-out, returns) and enforce safety and production protocols. Adapt quickly to challenges on set, protecting timeline, quality, and creative intent. Transition all assets and documentation to post teams with clarity and structure. Track post timelines, feedback cycles, and delivery deadlines. Work closely with the Creative Director and post team to ensure edits reflect the intended story, style, and pacing. Liaise between editors, colorists, sound designers, and motion designers to maintain alignment and schedule. Manage review and approval processes with clients, overseeing delivery accuracy and version control. Ensure all deliverables meet creative, technical, and brand standards. Client & Project Management Act as the main point of contact for the client from project kickoff to final delivery. Communicate proactively on timelines, deliverables, and approvals. Lead client calls, production updates, and feedback sessions with professionalism and clarity. Set and manage client expectations around timelines, scope, revisions, and deliverables. Collaborate with the Sales Account Manager and leadership team to align on scope, upsell opportunities, and overall account health. Deliver a high-touch, detail-driven client experience that reflects Charter & Co’s standards. File & Data Management Maintain clean, accessible folder systems across Google Drive, Dropbox, or equivalent tools. Track and organize all assets—scripts, footage, contracts, call sheets, releases—through every stage of production. Oversee file transfers, backups, version control, and long-term archiving. Ensure final assets are delivered in correct formats and specifications for multiple platforms and use cases. Lead freelance and contractor crews with clarity, professionalism, and efficiency. Partner with the Creative Director to ensure each crew member understands their role and the creative goals of the project. Foster seamless collaboration across internal departments—creative, sales, and operations. Represent Charter & Co’s commitment to quality and excellence on every production. Help maintain a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration across the company and on set. Requirements: 2-5 years of experience producing commercial, branded, or agency video content Proven ability to manage projects from pre-production through post, across multiple concurrent timelines Strong grasp of budgeting, quoting, and project scoping for video production Excellent communication skills—able to interface confidently with clients, freelancers, and internal teams Experience leading on-set logistics and problem solving under pressure Proficiency with production tools like StudioBinder, SetHero, or equivalent Familiarity with project management platforms like ClickUp or Asana Deep organizational skills with obsessive attention to detail Comfortable managing both traditional and virtual/LED volume production environments (experience with Unreal Engine or virtual stages is a plus) Knowledge of post-production workflows, file formats, and delivery specs Ability to manage and prioritize across multiple projects while staying calm and solutions-focused Strong leadership presence with a positive, collaborative attitude Based in or willing to relocate to the Chicagoland What We Offer: Competitive salary with performance-based incentives.
