Job Description

Our client, an industry leader in distributing structural steel and related products, is seeking a Welder to join their team. As a Welder, you will be part of a dedicated group supporting various projects. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Welder

Location: Petersburg, VA

Pay Range: $21 per hour

Shift: 7 am until 3 pm

What's the Job?

• Join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and drawings to determine the appropriate welding processes.
• Perform overhead crane operations and material handling as needed.
• Conduct daily maintenance checks on welding equipment.
• Ensure all work meets quality assurance standards and maintain a clean work area.

What's Needed?

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of welding-related experience.
• AWS D.1.5 certification is required .
• Good mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to position, align, fit, and weld parts according to specifications.
