Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll lead the full HR function including compliance, recruiting, performance development, payroll, benefits, and more. You’ll also guide and coach three direct reports to bring out the best in their work while ensuring HR is meeting every legal checkbox with confidence and clarity. What You’ll Own & Elevate
You’ll touch nearly every part of the employee journey, with responsibilities including:
Payroll & Compliance:
• Manage payroll (via ADP) on wage, hour, and labor law compliance.
Recruitment & Workforce Planning:
• Attract and hire great people. Build talent pipelines. Keep the bench strong.
• Make sure our client has the right people in the right seats at the right time.
Culture & Development:
• Lead onboarding, training, and development programs that keep employees growing and engaged.
• Be the steward of a people-first, performance-driven culture.
Policies & Performance:
• Write, update, and communicate policies that are clear, compliant, and aligned with company values.
• Drive performance management processes that help teams thrive.
Employee Relations:
• Be a trusted advisor and resource for team members and managers alike.
• Resolve conflicts fairly, consistently, and with empathy.
Benefits & Compensation:

You’re a Great Fit If You:
• Have 5+ years of experience in a senior HR leadership role.
• Are fluent in employment law, HR best practices, and payroll systems (bonus points for ADP).
• Know how to balance strategy with hands-on execution.
• Have a deep respect for confidentiality, fairness, and equity.
• Are passionate about building strong teams and empowering others.
• Can thrive in a dynamic, agriculture-adjacent environment (think tractors, fresh air, and the occasional mud splatter).
The Not-So-Fine Print:
This is a full-time, exempt position. You’ll spend your days in a mix of office and operational environments—sometimes indoors, sometimes outdoors, sometimes with a little background tractor noise. You should be comfortable adapting to seasonal conditions and agricultural settings.
