Job Description

Our client, a leader in the automotive industry, is seeking a Mechanical, Test & Validation Engineering 2 to join their team. As a Mechanical, Test & Validation Engineering 2, you will be part of the engineering department supporting the durability testing team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Mechanical, Test & Validation Engineering 2

Location: Long Beach, CA

Pay Range: $45.00-$60.00 Hourly

What's the Job?

• Coordinate endurance vehicle testing for the Mercedes-Benz Passenger Car, VAN, and AMG durability test fleets in the United States.
• Manage mileage accumulation of 15-20 vehicles, focusing on high-quality test results and efficiency.
• Monitor technical status of vehicles, identify faults, and lead problem-solving activities.
• Report vehicle status in all necessary forms and databases, maintaining internal Key Process Indicators.
• Lead weekly and monthly meetings and reports with internal and external stakeholders regarding durability testing topics.

• Experience in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of powertrain and drivetrain systems.
• Proficiency in diagnostic tools and fault identification.
• Ability to manage budgets and control invoicing processes.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
